Fun Series
The Fun Series offers a more relaxed ice‑fishing experience in teams of 2–6 people.
This series includes fun special rules and tasks that lead teams through the beautiful surroundings of Mathildedal.
In this competition, ice fishing does not necessarily mean sitting by a hole—or even catching a fish. If your team’s strategy includes good company and enjoying a thermos break, that also counts as success!
Competition Venue: Mathildedal
(Fishing = the actual catching of fish must take place at Lake Matildanjärvi)
Competition Time: 11:00–15:00
Registration: From 10:00 at the Teijo Nature Centre.
Welcome words and group start at 11:00 from the Nature Centre.
Prize Ceremony: 16:00 at the Teijo Nature Centre.
The only rule of the Fun Series:
Your team must arrive at the weigh‑in with a fish.
Where the fish comes from?
That remains your team’s secret.
In the Ice Captain Fun Series, the journey, laughter, and good vibes matter most.
Children’s Own Series
The event includes guided ice‑fishing instruction for children under 12 and their guardians.
There is a dedicated children’s fishing area with professional instructors and equipment available on site.
Children also take part in a guided and playful ice‑fishing competition.
All participants receive a prize, and the top 5 earn special awards.
There will also be additional activities for children!
